Manal Bin Amro

Manal Bin Amro is an Emirati writer and a filmmaker Born in Abu Dhabi in 1978. Manal has a degree in Mass Communications from the UAE University, College of Sociology and Humanities. Her film “Stuck Face” (2006) won an award at the 2007 Dubai International Film Festival. She also won the Most Promising Emirati Filmmaker of the Year award at DIFF 2009 Festival. She directed many short films such as (Shoes 2006), (Stuck Face 2007), (Al Musta’ar 2008), (Mariam’s Paradise 2008), (From the agenda of betrayal 2009), (Widad 2009), (Noura’s Apple 2010), and (There 2011).

Abdullah Hassan Ahmed

Abdullah Hassan Ahmed is one of the first filmmakers in the UAE, and he is the manager of Faradees Art Production Company where he worked as a producer for more than 23 successful short films, such as the short film (Sabeel) and (Tenbak). His films got many International and national awards. He got the 1st Prize in the 1st addition of GFF, and got a prize in San Francisco Arab Film Festival 2008, EFC, and DIFF. He has been chosen by Digital Studio Magazine as The Best Arab Filmmaker in 2006. He also provided TV stations with some of his films such as (Soora Naqesa 2008), and the documentary film (Emirati High Flyers 2013). He was a jury member of EFC 2010, and Wahran International Film Festival 2010. He also directs commercials, documentary films, and drama films for companies and TV stations.

Shahin Yazdani

Shahin Yazdani

Shahin Yazdani is an Iranian-born independent filmmaker/ producer and an educator. He has written a number of feature length screenplays including (The Station “Istgah”), and (Malek Khatoon), both of which were turned into highly celebrated feature films of the Iranian Cinema. The projects he has made outside Iran have been showcased at film festivals, art galleries, and media related conferences, as well as in street performances internationally. In UAE Yazdani has mentored and produced numerous prize winning student film projects that have received accolade in film festivals and competitions both locally and internationally.

Shoaib Iqbal

Shoaib Iqbal

Shoaib Iqbal is the founder & director of The Little Art, a non-profit arts education organization that uses art to promote positive social values through innovative learning opportunities among children and young adults, especially marginalized. Shoaib also founded the Lahore International Children’s Film Festival which has been organized annually in various cities since 2008. He post-graduated from DeVos Institute of Arts Management (Kennedy Centre, Washington D.C.), holds a diploma in International Development from East Side Institute NY and an Asia21 fellow with Asia Society.
